Current WBA/IBF super bantamweight unified world champion Celestino “Pelenchin” Caballero of Panama made a courtesy visit to the Romanza Gym in the Distrito Federal/Mexico City. He spoke with a group of fighters being trained there by famed trainer Ignacio “Nacho” Beristain, which included Juan Manuel and Rafael Marquez. Caballero is currently training in Mexico in the Centro Ceremonial Otomi and could make an optional defense in Mexico, with an opponent and date to be determined. For a very long time Caballero has expressed his desire to fight Rafael Marquez, Juan Manuel Lopez, Israel Vasquez and Jhonny Gonzalez among others.
